Too much violence

This morning I was surrounded by US military veterans “talking shop” before class began. They were comparing stories about the hardships of dealing with the heat in the desert, two of them having served in the first (or more accurately, the last, Gulf War.

The guy that sat just behind me talked about toying with their North Korean counterparts when he was in South Korea. They would spot North Korean soldiers across the DMZ and wait until they were using their radios to talk to other units. Because the US has superior radio technology, they were able to listen in. They would jam the transmissions and then have their translators break in on those frequencies and give fake orders or directives to the North Korean units. Then they would all have a good laugh when one unit went hiking off on some ridiculous “order.”

Well, all that is just having a go at their counterparts and there’s nothing really bad about that. But when he followed it up with this statement:

I can’t wait until we go over and fuck [the North Koreans] up. It’ll be like killing children.

To which the guy sitting next to me agreed:

Yeah, just like shooting 12-year-olds. They won’t know what hit them.

I just cannot believe that this is the only world we can live in.

    you know,
these people are affected by their media. they think whatever their media or government says is right. ya3ni tell me, when did N.Koreans harm them? also, they called the iraqis, Afghanis and palestininas “bad” people because there is something is going on and American is involved, so American has to be God and the others are demons!
I wish you the best and I hope you can survive with all that hatred around you!
